Horticulture Therapy  Walter Reed Convalescent Center

The residents at Walter Reed Convalescent Center are very appreciative and happy that The Gloucester Extension Master Gardener come twice a month.  The members create a number of different activities for the residents. Crafts are created for making flowers or holiday themes. Bulbs, leaves and plants are brought in for the residents to pot in containers for their rooms and watch them grow and bloom. Master Gardeners work out in the courtyard helping residents to plant flowers in a raised bed.
